Director of Nursing

We are looking to recruit experienced Director of Nursing on behalf of our client. This is an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to be an integral part of one of the largest and most innovative Group of Nursing Home . 

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Director of Nursing, to work with an established team, with great support from our HR and Finance Departments.

Role Responsibilities:

  • The Director of Nursing will manage and lead the delivery of resident care that exceeds the required minimum standards and legislative requirements
  • Enhance the person-centred approach to resident care on which we pride ourselves, and which is driven by respect for the rights of older people and are focused on the quality of life measures meaningful to individual residents.
  • Lead and manage an enthusiastic team to work to their potential.
  • Work with the Director of Care, Quality and Standards and other Director of Nursing colleagues to develop policies, programmes and evidence-based practice consistent with standards (HIQA) and seeking at all times to deliver a standard that is considered best practice within the environment in which we work.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience of Nursing Management in Care of the elderly within the last 6 years.
  • Post registration management qualification in Health Sciences
  • Currently registered with NMBI
  • Proven track record of clinical, leadership and people skills
  • Thorough knowledge of HIQA standards, regulations and the 'HEALTH ACT 2007'
  • Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills
  • Proven track record in decision-making ability
  • Qualification in Gerontology is desirable
